Standing next to the entry to the Philabaum Glass Gallery is the tail of a C-130 [A "Hercules" military transport aircraft]. A newspaper item reports that it weighs 800 pounds and is the creation of artist Konreid Meunch. We visited with one of the gallery owners, and she said it would be fine to park and come inside and get cool. This is a few miles from the famous Tucson airplane graveyard, home to 4,200 retired aircraft. Apparently it sells parts it won't be needing, including airplane tails.
