The Timberline Lodge stood in as the exterior for The Overlook in Stanley Kubrick's 1980 movie version of the Stephen King horror novel (interiors were filmed in a studio in England). The Timberline hosts a Shining-esque murder mystery dinner, allowing guests to "relive the horrifying events that took place here 30 years ago with the Torrance Family." Redrum!
