The screen of the Spud Drive-In has recently been blown over in a wind storm. Of more significance: the entire giant spud was missing when we visited in September 2024.

[Tim, 08/04/2022]The Spud Drive-In's 70-year-old screen was toppled by a windstorm on April 4, 2022, which meant that while a new screen is built the drive-in had to cancel screenings (likely until 2023). The sturdy potato was undamaged and is still there.
This spud was no dud. Great quick stop for a photo op.
