The Tardis has new owners and is moving to Kannapolis, North Carolina. The new owners will post their contact info when they are ready for visitors.

Yeah, yeah, sure. We know that the Tardis has in fact vanished into another millennium with Doctor Who at the controls....

We visited the T.A.R.D.I.S. in South Carolina. WOW! Simply amazing. I e-mailed Kay, as a recent tipster suggested, and made plans to visit at a certain time. We were escorted into the yard and got up close and personal with the Tardis and the chickens -- big, beautiful, friendly chickens who seemed quite used to humans invading their space. Even if you're not a Whovian, nearly everyone is familiar with the Tardis, and you will be so impressed with this one! [Dina B., 10/26/2014]

It's a TARDIS, with chickens, in beautiful Carolina hill country not far off the interstate. And it's bigger on the inside. Not in relative dimensions (and time), but in heart.

The hosts Jason and Kay were very welcoming to our troop of road-weary travelers, allowed us access to the inside, a demonstration of the familiar TARDIS sounds that Jason rigged up, as well as some quality time with their feathered and furry critters. Please do not just show up and start chasing chickens.

I contacted them prior to our visit, and they arranged to be there when we were. Otherwise, you can see it from the side of the road if you peer into the back of the property. Well worth it for Dr. Who fans of all ages.

Tardis in South Carolina

A great photo op for Dr. Who fans. The Tardis was in great shape and the chickens didn't mind our visit and picture-taking. I would recommend contacting the owners in advance of your visit. Kay and Jason were friendly and welcoming. We are glad that we visited this Dr. Who icon. No Daleks, Cybermen, or Weeping Angels in sight.

Tardis in South Carolina

Are you a Doctor Who fan? York, South Carolina, is now the proud home of a Tardis... a chicken coop Tardis, that is. You can take pictures of this blue police box replica from the street. If you email at least a few days in advance [KayGuerard at gmail.com], you might get permission on a weekend afternoon or evening to get a closer look. We ask that no one enter the property without prior permission and without being accompanied by the owner, but feel free to take pictures from the private gravel drive or from the paved street.
