The Big Steer was supposed to be in Lamar, but I found it in front of a Wood's Supermarket in Fort Scott, Kansas at 2331 S. Main St. I think it is a promotional item for 860 AM KKOW.

The cow is there but it is no longer white. It still has a white face but is otherwise brown.

[Sabrina, 08/27/2013]Bad luck! As with any statue displayed on wheels -- don't be surprised if it has rolled away to greener pastures. Let's see if another traveler spies it elsewhere in town, or back in this location....
It's a familiar breed of steakhouse and meat sales cattle. On a trailer, so may not permanently graze at this one spot.
