This is a great looking Muffler Man! It's easy to pull into the lot across the street and snap a pic.

Just as a tip as an Atlanta native familiar with the area, I was slightly worried about what kind of neighborhood a tire shop in East Point would be in, but it's totally chill, near a bunch of airport hotels and diners and stuff. I felt totally fine to set up a tripod across the street and walk away from my camera, so no worries at all! He still looks great and is obviously painted regularly. Eyes are still all black though, weird choice.

Thanks to your site I was able to find this Muffler Man that was along my route on a road trip. He's my first sighting, so it was thrilling to turn the corner and see him.
The formerly all-blue eyes have been painted all black. The overall paint job is in good shape, as is the figure itself. It's well supported on the same steel framework pictured previously, even the right arm, although I can't imagine that small tire weighing much. I noticed the tire has a hole cut in the bottom to drain rainwater. There are signs of crack repairs on the feet and lower legs. This is the style with seams halfway up the shins.
There is no International Fiberglass stamp visible.

Just off of I-75 near the Atlanta Airport in Hapeville. The Muffler Man is still looking good.
[Erik, 08/19/2012]Few things brighten a traveler's soul like a freshly cleaned, brightly painted Muffler Man.
Nicely painted, yes -- but why did they paint his entire eyes blue? This guy is easy enough to find.
