One of the best mine tours we took on our trip! The train is no longer used. You walk the tunnel, but it's an easy if wet walk. Our guide was funny and knowledgeable about the profession, and he managed to keep all ages engaged and interested. Wear closed-toe shoes!

We kept saying we wanted to do the Bachelor Mine tour; sadly, it was disappointing. We went on a Sunday and had the miners' breakfast, which was absolutely the best part of the whole event. The tour guide, whose name I'll leave out, spoke to the entire group as if we were kindergartners. By the end of 30+ minutes of sitting on benches at the end of the long, straight (boring with little to see) addit tunnel, I couldn't get out fast enough.
