Leggett, Texas: The Burning House (Gone)
Two East Texas artists took an old shotgun shack house, moved it to the side of a highway, and outfitted it with colorful flames shooting out its windows. At the unattended site, visitors could leave comments in the mailbox. Gradually decayed for years, reported gone July 2023.

A bizarre house on the side of the road with what appear to be flames coming out of the windows. It seems you can't get too close, but there's a good spot to park and wonder why somebody would go to the trouble of creating an art installation so far from anything and with so little explanation.

- On the northbound side of US Hwy 59. Either one mile north of the gas station in Leggett, or a quarter-mile south of the rest area south of Seven Oaks.
