A 1955 drive-in with its next-to-the-highway screen painted like a rippling American flag. Was still projecting 35mm film prints in 2011, but appears to have closed since then.

- On the south side of Hwy 86, either five miles west of Hwy 70 in Turkey, Texas, or five miles east of Hwy 1065 in Quitaque, Texas. It's midway.

The tagline on the Midway marquee reads, "Between Turkey and Quitaque ... New York & L.A." This 1955 drive-in is on TX-86, south of Palo Duro Canyon. It's not exactly on the NY/LA midpoint -- that would be Cushing, Oklahoma -- but I dig the patriotic flaginess of this theater.
