This place was cooler than I thought it would be! Bunnyhenge is located in a park across from the Newport Civic Center. Currently there are temporary art sculptures, and you can take a self-guided walking tour using the MyNB app.
[Stephanie, 07/05/2016]This sculpture is part of a rotating temporary art exhibit in Civic Center park and will be replaced in 2017 with a new sculpture. That means this roadside attraction's days are numbered.

The city of Newport Beach built a park outside their City Hall in 2013. They commissioned many cool sculptures, including a series of 16 oversized rabbit statues often referred to as Bunnyhenge. Public outcry ("Bunnygate") protested the fact that the city spent $220k on these bunnies.

- In the park next to the Civic Center. From Hwy 1 turn north at the stoplight onto Avocado Ave. Drive a half-mile, past the library. You'll see the Civic Center on the right. Park there, then walk north into the park. The bunnies are at the north end, near the corner of Avocado Ave. and San Miguel Drive.
