Halliburton Statue - Memorial Park

Memorial Park runs along the west side of US 81 through the middle of Duncan. It contains memorials and monuments to veterans, wars, historic events, and historic people. The various war and veterans' memorials take up the north half of the park.

The southern half is dedicated to the area's general history. There is a large statue of Erle Halliburton, outlining his contribution to oil exploration in general and to the area in particular. There is a Chisholm Trail monument (U.S. 81 generally follows the Trail's track throughout Oklahoma.). Another monument is dedicated to the area's pioneers, etc.
