Duncan, Oklahoma: Halliburton Statue - Memorial Park
Nice park with monuments, but look for the statue of Erle P. Halliburton, giant of the oil industry with his concrete reinforced wells, who left the world a legacy in the form of Halliburton the corporation.

- The park extends along the West side of US 81 from Spruce to W. Beech Ave. There is very limited parking on the highway side. There is continuous parking, however, along the back side of the park.

Memorial Park runs along the west side of US 81 through the middle of Duncan. It contains memorials and monuments to veterans, wars, historic events, and historic people. The various war and veterans' memorials take up the north half of the park.
The southern half is dedicated to the area's general history. There is a large statue of Erle Halliburton, outlining his contribution to oil exploration in general and to the area in particular. There is a Chisholm Trail monument (U.S. 81 generally follows the Trail's track throughout Oklahoma.). Another monument is dedicated to the area's pioneers, etc.
