World's Only Polka Escalator

The polka escalator is in danger!

[Ron Renken, 07/09/2023]

The polka escalator is kaput. Artist Dick Blau, who in 1998 created the "Polka Time!" push-button escalator, said that it was being ripped out as part of a building renovation.

World's Only Polka Escalator

Getting ready to polka up the escalator. Watch out for the old guy guarding the hallway. Seeing the world's only polka escalator is not a good enough reason to be in the convention center, apparently.

World's Only Polka Escalator

What a treat! Totally worth a stop. As of 6-23-2018 it is up and running and fun!

World's Only Polka Escalator

Closed to the public; unless you are there for a convention they will not let you in. Also, it is under construction summer/fall 2017.

[Adventures Of Cluckleberry Hen, 08/19/2017]

The Polka Escalator is only off-limits because of the construction. When the construction work is finished later this year, the Polka Escalator will reopen.

Polka Time!
