Lexington, Kentucky: Horse Cemetery
Most horses don't get buried in cemeteries, but winners of the Triple Crown and the Kentucky Derby do. This small graveyard -- or at least its tombstones -- was moved when a Walmart was built on its original spot.
- Address:
- Grey Lag Way, Lexington, KY
- Directions:
- I-75 exit 110 onto US Hwy 60/Winchester Rd. Drive west only a few hundred feet. At the first stoplight, turn left onto Elkhorn Rd, then keep bearing right onto Grey Lag Way (which isn't marked).
