Quantico, Virginia: Staff Sgt. Reckless, Marine Hero Horse
A hero horse helped Marines fend off the Chinese and move U.S. artillery and munitions during the Korean War. Honored in 2013 with a life-size bronze statue by artist Jocelyn Russell.

Life-size statue of Staff Sgt. Reckless, a decorated horse from the Korean War. The plaque on the statue lists the decorations and some of the services that Staff Sgt. Reckless performed. There's a miniature version of this statue inside the museum, next to one of Reckless's horseshoes and the name plate from its stall.
