Being a huge fan of Lincoln we just had to stop. His statue was definitely hot from the sun, so be careful. The rose garden and walking around was extremely relaxing.
[Nona Fisher, 05/22/2021]Quick and easy photo op. Abe sits directly across the parking lot near the rose garden, and next to the Black History museum.

Very close to the blue field at Boise State University. My son and I enjoyed this huge statue. Even saw a covey of quail at this attraction.

How great is it to sit on the bench with Abe. You can't appreciate the size until you stand beside him. On a beautiful sunny day he was hot hot hot -- careful if you lean on him.

The large Abraham Lincoln statue by sculptor Gutzon Borglum in Julia Davis Park is well worth a side trip. The statue is adjacent to the Idaho Black History Museum, which is open Saturday and Sunday. Julia Davis Park is so beautiful with its rose garden and lake. The state capitol is down the street from this beautiful park.
