Kirksville, Missouri: Cursed Baird Devil's Chair
Urban legend that the cemetery's marble chair, sculpted by John C. Baird, is direct-wired to Hell. Anyone seated at midnight (or Halloween) will be grabbed by corpse hands and dragged under. Or given super powers. Or something.

Baird's Chair (locally known as the Devil's Chair) is made of stone and located in the middle of Highland Park Cemetery. Local legend has it that those who sit on the chair, either at midnight or Halloween (depending on who tells the story), will be taken into hell by a large hand. Interestingly enough, the creator of the chair, William Baird, decided to be buried across town in the Forest-Llewellyn cemetery instead of by the chair.
