South Weymouth, Massachusetts: Jet on a Pole

A Navy jet serves as a memorial for Naval Air Station South Weymouth, which closed in 1997. The station was built as a blimp base in WWII, but, sorry, no blimp memorial.

Directions:
Hwy 3 exits 16 or 16B. Drive south on Hwy 18 for two miles. Turn left onto Shea Memorial Drive for a half-mile. You'll see the jet on the right.
