Built in a nearby factory, Lustron homes were the futurist answer to the post-World War II housing shortage. Despite its name, it does not look futurist.

- Just southeast of Columbus International Airport. From Hwy 317/N. Hamilton Rd turn east at the stoplight onto Poth Rd. Drive until the street ends, then turn left. You'll quickly see the house on the right, behind a chain link fence.

It's in a huge parking lot, way back in the corner, and completely fenced in. You ca'nt really see anything through the fence.

Lustron homes were made in the 1950s to help shelter the influx of GIs needing homes. They were manufactured in neighboring Columbus, Ohio. The Whitehall Historical Society had one dissembled and moved to their land in the local park.
