It roams the country, chained to the back of a flatbed trailer, spreading the word about Idaho spuds. In winter it hibernates in Boise, but once the roads are plowed it could be anywhere.

World's Largest Potato
This one may be hard to count as a Roadside attraction since technically it's mobile. The World's Largest Potato has been on a road trip across the country. It is chained to the back of a truck, reminiscent of old gag postcards from Idaho. I'd heard that it was going to be at a local tractor festival, and decided I had to see it. The "Potato Crew" told me that it is parked in Boise, Idaho, during the winter, but will be back on the road next spring. I was talking to the lady on the Potato Crew and asked her if the Potato had visited any other roadside attractions. She said it has been to the World's Largest Fork and the World's Largest Pistachio. The lady showed me that she had the Roadside America app on her iPhone!

Oct. 2017: After a six-year promotional run (it was only built to last one year), the big potato has been retired and will be replaced by one that is 2-ft. narrower (to drop designation as wide load) and will light up at night.
