Glen Goode's Big People

As we were road tripping thru Texas we came across Mr. Goode and his collection. What a great stop, and Mr. Goode is the ultimate tour guide. Gave us the full tour and explained how he got all of his big folks. Took us into his shop and showed us the molds and a hat he made for a politician. Don't drive by and not stop. Mr. Goode asked that I post a comment here and for all he did for us it was the least we could do.

Glenn Goode's Big People

I took a drive up to Gainesville today to check in on Glenn Goode's Big People. When I arrived, Glenn came out and stated that he was glad someone stopped today, as he needed someone to raise him up on his forklift in order to remove a bird's nest from Uniroyal Gal's neck.

I was only too happy to oblige and was rewarded with some unusual photo ops for my efforts.

Four Giants

The Trio of Giants in Gainesville Texas has been expanded to four. My sister and I traveled to Gainesville in on March 8, 2005 and took the enclosed picture. I had read the information on this site regarding the giants and then I was surprised to see giant #4.

Fourth Statue joins Muffler Man, Uniroyal Gal, Big John

Glenn Goode, "The Fiberglass Man," display of three big figures, a Muffler Man, Uniroyal Gal and Big John has been increased to 4 with the addition of another brother Big John, which has been in storage for some time.

Directions:: From I-35 turn on hwy 82 east, go 4 miles to FM 371 turn left(north) and go less than 2 miles. They are on west side of road waving at you.
Hours:: Most of the giants were moved elsewhere in August 2023.
