Barre, Vermont: Largest Zipper in America
Built of blocks of native granite, the zipper extends along the ground for 74 feet down a narrow alley. Artist Chris Miller named it "Unzipping the Earth," and has planted perennials in the undulating opening between the two sets of granite teeth.

- Downtown. On the north side of US Hwy 302/Main St., across the street from the intersection of Depot Square St., the hardware store, and the Quarry restaurant. The zipper runs along the ground down a narrow alley between buildings at 219 and 201 Main St.
