This Muffler Man was made in California. We put him up in 1965, I believe. My father started the business in 1957, and I bought him out in 1974, my son bought me out in 1998. The man took up a whole semi-trailer, and shipping was very $$$$. The body weighs about 300 lbs. He has been through several hurricanes, "Isabel" being the worst.

This family business is in its 50th, and the Auto Muffler King just got a new paint job! Completed on September 9th, this original Muffler Man has a new coat of paint and is looking sharp as ever! Stop by some time to see the Muffler Man and my Grandfather, Great Uncle, Father and Brother. -Auto Muffler Princess-
[Jessica Hedrick, 09/20/2007]He looks to be original, and still painted the original colors. Strangest of all, he's actually outside a muffler shop (AUTO MUFFLER KING) holding a muffler! He stands tall on Jefferson Ave. (5900 hundred block, I believe) about 1 mile south of Mercury Blvd.
