Created in the "Quilting Capital of the World" for the 1982 Knoxville World's Fair, the World's Largest Quilt is 19 x 22 ft. The World's Largest Bed is made of oak by seven woodworkers.

19 feet x 22 feet with 116 of area's traditional patchwork and applique patterns and more than 1 million hand sewn stitches. Made by 96 women.

Franklin is the "Quilting Capital of the World." The Whistle Stop Mall's frontier town facade shelters a group of antique businesses. The giant quilt and giant bed are on display, though the quilt has been moved to other locations at times.
