These tanks are on property that is enclosed by a fence. You have to drive off the main road a bit to find them. The turn is right beside a hospital.
[Angie, 09/21/2013]Kinda hard to see in the summer from I-81 S (it's on the right hand side, set up on the hill) because of the leaves on the trees, but if you're looking for it you'll see it!
[Sarah, 08/11/2011]As far as we could find, you could not see the Marion water tanks from the interstate. However, it is right beside the water treatment plant in Marion, located at 160 Watermill Road. From there you can see a great view of the water tower and get some pictures.

Along Interstate 80, tucked in the mountainside, stand two water tower tanks for Marion, Virginia. What is unusual is that one is labeled cold and the other hot.
