Karnack, Texas: Bikes on the Barn

Paint and a procession of lofty bicycles has transformed an old barn into a pro-Texas, pro-cycling work of art, we guess.

Address:: FM 134, Karnack, TX
Directions:: From Hwy 43 in Karnack, turn east at the sign onto Hwy 134. Follow this road east and then south, through town, for two miles. You'll see on the left a small broken-down barn, set back from the road, behind a nice fence. The artwork is on the south side of the barn.

In addition to the directions, an important tip is that this barn is somewhat difficult to spot heading south on Highway 134. Although the distance is accurate, the angle makes it easy to drive right past the barn. So drive three miles south of Karnack on 134, turn around, and look on your right for the barn as you come back north.

There is a barn that has some bicycles on the top. A large cut-out of John Wayne is next to the barn door. It says "Life is Good" inside an outline of Texas on the far right side of the barn.
