Amusement Park with Ancient Coaster
The park is excellent for kids 12 and younger. Teens and tweens are conspicuously absent. The 2-day park pass is a good value if staying nearby. The park overlooks Lake Okoboji, offering delightful views from the Ferris Wheel. The park is located beside a retail center with food, ice cream, and local stores with unique goods. We drive 8 hours to get here and it's worth it. This is our third consecutive week-long stay in the area, and we love Arnold's Park!

Built in 1889, the Arnolds Park town amusement park is one of the oldest operating amusement parks in the world. Its highlight is a wooden roller coaster named The Legend, designed by John A. Miller, who's known as the Thomas Edison of the Roller Coaster. It's a classic figure-eight coaster that debuted in 1927, and is currently the 13th oldest roller coaster in the world.
