Since 2006 the Larsen family's music and light show has grown to include more than one million lights, 2,400 strobes, six lasers, 10 six-foot tall nutcrackers, and dozens of shooting stars, tornado trees, leaping arches, dancing hoops, etc. It's all choreographed to several dozen holiday songs as they are broadcast by a low-power radio transmitter. Many visitors stay for more than an hour enjoying the show from the comfort of their automobiles.
The Larsen home is on a county two-lane blacktop with no shoulders, so they built a parking area next to their driveway that can handle about 40 cars. This display was one of a handful of winners on ABC-TV's nationally broadcast "The Great Christmas Light Fight" during the 2013 holiday season.
