Four crisp dollar bills (the machine is very finicky) get you 22 fresh eggs and a two-minute show of singing, gyrating robot chickens. Good after dark, when there's no light reflection off the window. Chicken outfits are changed frequently by the farm owner's wife.

- Glaum Egg Ranch. Hwy 1 exit 433A. Drive east on Freedom Rd for one mile. Turn left onto Valencia Rd. Drive a half-mile. You'll see the entrance gate for Glaum Egg Ranch on the right. Drive up the hill and around the building to the back; the vending machine is built into the side of the building.

The drive to the Glaum egg ranch is beautiful, and the vending machine itself is hilarious. It's four dollars and you get 22 fresh, local, organic, free range eggs. The robotic chickens are amazing! They sing and dance, fully dressed up in fancy outfits.
When I went it was a springtime theme. This was actually a trip highlight for me, even though I had 22 eggs to drive back to southern California.
