South Padre Island, Texas: Mini Christ the Redeemer Statue
No need to travel to Brazil when you can see a similar statue in Texas. Located on a flat beach, and "mini" only when compared to the original; it's a big statue.

- Hwy 100/Queen Isabella Causeway onto the island. Turn right onto Padre Blvd. Drive about 1.5 miles, to the south tip of the island. Statue on the right.

While jogging along the beach my wife and I ran into a mini "Christ the Redeemer" statue at the south end of South Padre Island in the trailer park. If memory serves me correct, the statue is a tribute to all those who lost their lives at sea near there.
