Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin: World's Largest Barber Pole
As a 1976 Bicentennial project, Dave Gumieny painted his old barn silo in red-white-blue stripes, turned it into a rural barber shop, and called it the World's Largest Barber Pole. It's still there, and so is Dave, and he'll still cut your hair if you call ahead for an appointment.
