San Marcos, Texas: LBJ's Spittoon

Future President Lyndon Johnson attended college in San Marcos in the late 1920s. The spittoon is one of many personal LBJ items in this small museum, which opened in 2006.

What I find to be odd is that it is not even listed. I was sitting at a restaurant looking out the window and saw the sign. It is really small but it has a few artifacts that may be interesting to view if you're in the area. The price is free, so you have nothing to lose.

We've had this place mapped in the Roadside Presidents app, but its important presidential spittoon artifact merits broader attention.
