The watermelon slice has been moved to the city park and decorated for Christmas. It's at OK Anderson Park. Also of interest is the US Air Force Athena missile on display at the same park. It was launched from Green River in 1964.

The Watermelon is under a [roof] cover behind the museum.
[Melinda, 07/25/2017]The town reminds of places bypassed over the decades by new and improved highways. A worthwhile detour and break from the road. The watermelon is also housed at a museum. Did not get to tour the museum as it was closed, but still neat and silly fun.
[John, 06/27/2017]The Watermelon Slice is stored behind the John Wesley Powell museum. The museum is a great stop and as a bonus you get to see the watermelon, too!
