The museum is tucked away in an art studio! Have to ring a bell out front to have them come and unlock the door.

Access to Essex Studios isn't always easy. An artist had to let us in a locked side door. You can call the number or check the lot for the owner's cat-themed vehicle.
Once inside, go through the black double doors next to the little couch and cowhide rug. Continue down the hallway, past the vending machines, down another hallway to the right. You'll see the awning and lanterns. She said she tries to have a sign outside, but it gets taken down.
There's a mind-boggling amount of luck cats and lots of "paws-on" interactivity. The proprietor has all kinds of information and history. Bring quarters for the golden egg machine!

Most everyone recognizes Maneki Neko (Japan's "Lucky Cat"). Asian restaurants often have the happy waving cat greeting customers. The Cincinnati Lucky Cat Museum has over 700 of these fortunate felines on display. Some are waving, some are not. Some are lefties, some righties, and some use both paws to invite luck. One interesting display features original Lucky Cat pieces from artists around the world. There are antiques, toys, designer vinyl, and modern exhibits. Whether you love cats, Asian culture, or just oddball museums, this is a good place to "get lucky."
