The U.S.S. Maine blew up in Havana Harbor in 1898, sparking the Spanish-American War. This porthole cover was enshrined to remind all to remember!

- In Woodlawn Cemetery. I-76 exit 9. Drive south on Hwy 94/High St. for 1.5 miles into downtown. Turn right at the stoplight onto College St. Drive a quarter-mile. The cemetery will be on the right, a small cemetery, the rock is easy to find.

One of the sunken Battleship Maine's more visually pleasing relics: a round porthole cover, tarnished teal blue with age, mounted on the side of a rock. It was originally downtown as a Spanish-American War memorial, but was moved to the cemetery when new wars came along.
