Going on a weekday seems to be less people, so you can linger and take in all the detail in the models. Be sure to plan to eat lunch there. Great, friendly service. Cafe closes at 2pm (EST)

In addition to the sprawling and incredibly well-laid-out train display, there are large play areas (buy socks in the gift shop for $1.50 first) and two seasonal outdoor kiddie rides, a mini train and a hand-cranked train car. There's also a large fun house with tons to do. Bring coins for the penny press and Zoltar. Also, apparently Neil Young has a train set and it's on display here.

This is a wonderful place to kill a few hours. My children and I enjoyed it very much. There is so much detail to the train set; we walked through the model twice. You can go up to a platform to see the entire area, just about. There's also a kid's play area (so young ones can burn off some energy), an outdoor Thomas the Tank Engine kiddie ride, and a fun house room filled with all kinds of neat stuff, including a house of mirrors. We all had a lot of fun in there.

EnterTrainment Junction claims to have the world's largest indoor train display, over 25,000 square feet, with two miles of track and a thousand G scale cars. It also has a railroad museum and a fun house. We went at Christmastime and there was a special holiday train display.
