This is a small landscaped area commemorating King Hagler, chief of the Catawba Nation, and his help in the founding of Camden and Kershaw County.
[Terry Fiedor, 03/15/2014]King Hagler helped Camden fight off the French during the French and Indian War of the 1750s (He was later murdered by other Indians). The statues were unveiled in October 2012. Jan. 2019: Photo added.
