I stopped to show a friend the remains of the Myles Standish statue and we got a great history lesson from owner Marc Valentine. He has other interesting historical artifacts there, too. He also hopes to locate the original head, as it's known to be intact somewhere in Massachusetts.
[Michael, 09/08/2023]We saw a sign for this and decided to stop to see the legs. We were fortunate as the property owner was standing near the legs and provided a great historical tour. I love to learn about local history from passionate subject matter experts.
[Bill, 09/01/2023]The owner gave us a history lesson of the area. More people should hear his stories. Will return again.
[Bob T, 05/14/2023]This was such a treat! Came to see the legs and got a whole living person, too. Marc Valentine owns the place and was standing outside by the legs. He gave us a whole tour, which included visual aids and everything. We also received souvenir pins for listening to him. He spent about ten minutes talking to us and telling us stories about the area.
