Milan, Pennsylvania: Dinosaur Tree

The stump of a still-rooted tree has been carved to resemble several dinosaurs. It has something to do with Creationism, but the tree appears to be agnostic.
Main St., Milan, PA
From the blinking light in downtown Milan drive south on Hwy 220/Main St. for about a half mile. You'll see a white house on the right with a wooden fence next to it; the Dino Tree is right next to the house, in front of the fence. Park across the highway in the small gravel parking lot.

Dinosaur Tree

Since the last time we saw the Dinosaur Tree, it's been painted and set on a concrete slab closer to the road. You can probably park temporarily in the veterinarian's parking lot across the road.

[Jason Wait, 12/11/2014]

The paint and slab provide good protection from bugs, which might otherwise destroy this memorable work of art.

This carved tree is located behind a white farmhouse on the property of Larry and Marian Page. It stems from an interest in the Biblical account of a six day creation.
