Seattle, Washington: Motel Where Kurt Cobain Shot Heroin
For those who want the full Kurt Cobain experience. The motel makes no effort for tourists; it's just a motel, and a seedy one at that. Cobain, in his final days, would drive here from his mansion, meet his pusher, then shoot up in Room 226.

I stayed there a couple of years ago on a sports trip -- if there's a memorial of any kind it's not mentioned on the exterior or by the motel staff. I suppose hanging a sign that says, "Come see where Cobain offed himself" isn't yet considered good taste. Wait another 15-20 years.
