- Crater Lake National Park. From downtown Klamath Falls drive north 23 miles on US Hwy 97. Turn left onto Hwy 62/W. Crater Lake Hwy and drive 30 miles. Turn right onto Munson Valley Rd and drive seven miles to Rim Drive, which winds around Crater Lake.

Awesome, moving spectacle. Well worth the curvy drive to the rim. However, gasoline is available at the Mazama Campground area after entering the park from the south. It's expensive, but not 35 miles away from the rim.
