The building for the Museum of the Unexplained was turned into a pool hall. We asked a local about it and was told that the museum was "on tour." We were also informed that the building which used to house the museum was for sale.

Museum of the Unexplained

The Museum Of The Unexplained is a ufo/paranormal non-profit research organization located just outside of Branson, Missouri. It displays UFO video and a documented UFO artifacts recovered by Bob White in the 1980s. This is an in-depth center for the study and research of all unexplained phenomena.

One "artifact" has been to 5 major labs so far with no results on origin, what it is or what it was used for. Los Alamos calls it the "unknown object" 19 times in their report. NASA has found 30 elements in the metal so far and the object -- though 80% aluminum -- has the grain structure and hardness of steel. The only agreement of all tests is that it is a manufactured piece of metal.

They also have bigfoot casts, Roswell, and Soccorro, NM reports. The museum has over 2,500 documented trace landing cases on file in 71 countries, five full time research associates on staff, and six ongoing cases currently under study.

Video of the Joplin spook light was just recorded this month. Unusual gift shop. Guided tours available.

Update - June 2004 - 73-year old Bob White continues on with his Museum of the Unexplained. His prize artifact is a mysterious metalloid chunk that fell off a UFO he encountered near the Colorado-Utah border in 1985. He keeps it locked in a case and monitored by video cameras around the clock.
