While rail museums may show streetcars, the Kenosha streetcars are actually operated on the street on a two mile loop: through the north end of Kenosha's downtown and past the scenic harbor front. The streetcars pass (among other things) the downtown transit center; the Metra station; a dinosaur museum; the county court house; main street; a marina; the public museum and the Civil War museum; and the Kenosha harbor. The half-dozen cars in service are painted to represent various city streetcar lines of the past, including Toronto, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Johnstown, PA. A pleasant ride through an upscale area of town, with museums and recreation all around. Many stops along the way, and many restaurants are within a short walk.
