We found the crabs along Stewart Parkway between Gladden and Market Streets; next to the harbor. Main Street along that same area has been gentrified and improved with little galleries and shops. A nice walk; when the weather isn't blistering hot!

Cute area to stop with toddlers. There's a wide sidewalk to see the docked boats, stop to eat, or allow the kids to play at the playground. If you want to just take in the scenery there are swinging benches facing the water.

In 2006 the city of Washington funded an outdoor art project called Crabs On The Move. Large fiberglass crabs were installed throughout the city. Most have been relocated but six can still be found downtown on various corners, principally along Main Street.
