If you stand in just the right spot, a big cross that greeted Pope John Paul II lines up next to a street sign that appears to read, "SIN City." Moved to less sinful location in May 2024.

The cross was moved to the Malvern Retreat House, 315 S. Warren Ave in Malvern, PA, in May of 2024.

At the intersection of City Ave (Route 1) and Lancaster Ave (Route 30) is Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary -- home of the great big cross that welcomed the visiting Pope John Paul II in Logan Circle in 1979. A happy accident of signage and placement put the current location of the giant cross at an intersection labeled S1N City.
