Redondo Beach, California: Statue of Twins Who Invented the Wet Suit
Bill and Bob Meistrell, diving enthusiasts, invented the wet suit here in 1953 to stay warm in California's cold waters. Chris Barela's life-size bronze statue of the twins was unveiled by their surviving family members on June 2, 2014.

- From Hwy 1/Pacific Coast Hwy turn west at the stoplight (Firestone dealer) onto Beryl St. Drive a half-mile. You'll see a small semi-circular pull-off on the left. The statue is there, on the far side of a low wall. The brothers' backs are toward the street, facing the water.
