Look for the McRedie Day Use along the highway just west of mile marker 45 that has a parking lot and a rudimentary toilet. We followed the gravel trail, down some wooden steps to a dirt trail that ended at the hot pools. We surprised a young man who was soaking in the water. He jumped up to get his dog and we noticed that all he had on was a pair of Nikes!
There are more pools across the river.
