- On the west side of Hwy 4, just north of the small town of Auburn. From Hwy 4 turn west onto either Curran Rd or Snell Rd (the brick road forms a kind of sideways V that connects to Hwy 4 at both ends). When you turn at either end the pavement is asphalt, but it quickly turns to brick.

Travel back in time by driving a 1.5 mile section of brick highway. The "Auburn Brick Road" was part of Route 66 until 1930, but it wasn't until a year later that it was paved with bricks.

My odometer measured 1.2 miles of brick. A fun little, short, but sweet drive in a rural area. Easy to get to from I-55.
