The chair weighs in at 46,000 pounds and is made out of recycled wood and pipe. We learned that in order to set the record, it had to rock, so it was pushed by several strong men during Guinness visit.

Casey is the home of many of the world's largest objects. They are mostly constructed using wood salvaged from old telephone poles, are on display throughout the town. A full time master carpenter, employed by a local trucking firm, does most of the woodwork.

This new chair, which was topped off on Aug. 25, 2015, is 56 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighs 46,200 pounds. It beats the previous Largest Chair (42 feet, 1 inch tall) in Fanning, Missouri, which held the record for over seven years.
