Palm Springs Air Museum
The Palm Springs Air Museum is amazing. There are five hangars, each dedicated to an era such as Korea, Vietnam, WWII Pacific and Europe. They have a stealth bomber, one of only four on display in the US. There are dozens of very knowledgeable docents to answer any question.
On Saturdays they have an "open cockpit," where you can get your picture taken for a small donation. They also have talks, so check the website for when and what.
