I thought it was pretty cool to see such a large replica of a childhood toy. Nice town!

The Kaleidoscope has flashing lights inside and many moving parts.
[Ron Renken, 09/01/2015]This is the kind of kaleidoscope with fixed colored panels that spin -- so you spin it once and that's all there is to see. I was hoping it was the kind that had the liquid filled chamber with glitter and shapes floating in it so it would be ever-changing. But we were there and we can say we saw it. No need to see it again.

At the corner of Elm and Maple there is a very big working kaleidoscope. Its out in the open in a grassy area in the main strip of this nice little town.

The 11-foot-long "Wheel in the Sky Kaleidoscope" was built in 2012 by William Anderson for Grand Rapids' ArtPrize competition. It was moved to Three Oaks in September 2013.
